Zug fährt in den Bahnhof mit Kabel der Quest Technik und Service GmbH

Projects

With our assembly teams, we took on difficult and demanding tasks.

Quest Technik und Service GmbH stands for 100% quality and reliability.

Our customers.

As part of our project, we were able to work with the following companies, among others:

Vehicle conversion ECTS

We are proud to be carrying out the prototype assembly for the European Train Control System (ECTS) on the Stuttgart S-Bahn. Precision, innovation and reliability are the focus of our work.

ETCS trial installation for the Stuttgart S-Bahn

This project concerns the prototype installation of the ETCS (European Train Control System) in the S-Bahn trains of the Stuttgart S-Bahn.

In this project we were able to fully leverage the strengths of a holistic approach of the two companies "Quest Kabel und Systemtechnik GmbH" (for cables) and "Quest Technik und Service GmbH" (for installation).

In this project, the prototype cables were co-developed, assembled and then installed for efficient production. The entire assembly value chain was handled by a single source. This reduced coordination to a minimum.

At this point special thanks go to the Alstom project team in Hennigsdorf.

TEMA BOX S-Bahn Munich

In this project, we focused on retrofitting the TEMA boxes in the trains of the S-Bahn Munich, an important step for monitoring and optimizing energy consumption. These boxes measure the energy usage of the trains in real-time, providing valuable data to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Our assembly team was responsible for installing the power meters, enabling continuous monitoring and optimization of energy consumption. Thanks to our close collaboration with the client, we were able to implement the project efficiently and successfully, ensuring that all safety and quality standards were met to guarantee the reliability of the S-Bahn.

We thank S-Bahn Munich for their trust in our expertise and the smooth cooperation that allowed us to successfully complete this technically demanding project.

MCOM Retrofit in ICE 3

In this project, the focus was on the installation of the MCOM communication system in the ICE 3 trains of series BR403 and BR407, a crucial step towards enhancing the onboard communication infrastructure. The MCOM system enables the transmission of real-time data, improving operational efficiency and enhancing the passenger experience through more reliable communication networks.

Our team was responsible for the precise and complex installation of the system, ensuring seamless integration into the existing train infrastructure.

We appreciate the trust that Deutsche Bahn has placed in our expertise.

With the successful implementation of MCOM, we are making a significant contribution to the modernization of the ICE 3 fleet, which operates on key routes such as Munich, Dortmund, and Frankfurt, thus supporting the ongoing upgrade of high-speed trains.

Pilot installation of automatic passenger counting BR425

Systematic capacity utilisation monitoring in local rail transport is the basis for efficient capacity and utilisation management. A special team, consisting of the sales manager of Gimota AG Marcel Frey, the managing director of Quest Kabel und Systemtechnik GmbH (Cat5, Cat7 special cables) Holger Quest and the managing director of Quest Technik und Service GmbH (installation and functional test) Gunther Quest, have brought together their knowledge of cables, connectors and installation in Frankfurt.

Together with the project team led by Michael Mark, the "Team Quest - Gimota" has successfully upgraded the BR425 commuter train for automatic passenger counting. Now the software (Isar-Soft) can be configured and the system can be tested.

Special thanks to DB Instandsetzungswerk Frankfurt for their hospitality and support.

Brake Resistor Munich S-Bahn

As part of this project, the brake resistors of the Munich S-Bahn series 420 were inspected and replaced as needed. These critical components play a central role in the safety and efficiency of train operations, converting energy generated during braking into heat to ensure smooth deceleration.

Our team conducted thorough inspections of the brake resistors to identify any wear or defects early on. Where necessary, the resistors were replaced professionally.

Thanks to our excellent collaboration with the client, we were able to implement the project efficiently and successfully, carrying out the work with the utmost care and in compliance with all safety regulations to ensure the long-term operational readiness and reliability of the S-Bahn.

It was particularly important for us to keep downtime to a minimum to guarantee a smooth and safe operation for the passengers of the Munich S-Bahn.

We would like to sincerely thank our clients for their trust. Their continuous support encourages us to meet the high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in railway technology in the future.

Assembly of components for fire protection in trains

We are very proud that we are able to produce fire protection components for Wagner Rail. These components form the framework for a complex and efficient fire protection system in passenger rail transport.

This is about components that save lives and make trains safer.

Thank you for the Wagner company’s trust in us.
